Maritime Officers' Association, MOA, Swedish abbreviation SBF, is an independent trade union organizing catering, engineer and nautical officers within the Swedish merchant fleet and on foreign-registered ships with Swedish officers serving on board.

Among other things MOA wants to promote economical and social interests of its members, work for an improved theoretical and practical training for maritime officers and uphold their position and status. The organization has always meant that nautical and engineer officers have an equal position. The chief engineer is the first technical officer on board - the master is the first nautical. Their educations are equal in length and scientific content. According to Swedish law the chief engineer also has the responsibility for the ship's technical operation and fire protection.
